About me

I am an experienced translator of English into German / German into English and have been resident in the United Kingdom since 1993.

Since 1996, I have been working with market research companies, translating their questionnaires and market research interviews with physicians, medical staff and patients. Over the years I have translated a substantial number of medical reports/doctors' letters, press releases, in-house newsletters and patient information (including website content) on different medical and health issues. I translate from English into German and German into English in these fields.

My first degree is in Social Work from the University of Applied Sciences in Esslingen/Germany. Between 1977 and 1992 I have worked with families, children, juvenile delinquents/young offenders, drug addicts, alcohol dependants and mentally ill adults in psychiatric hospitals and Care in the Community. I translate from English into German in this field.

I also translate general website content, marketing and advertising brochures, press releases for printed and on-line magazines and for the hotel & tourism industry. I translate from English into German and German into English in these fields.

In addition, I translate general business and banking documents such as annual reports, internal/external newsletters and announcements and press releases. I translate from English into German and German into English in these fields.
